Employment as a service vs traditional manpower supply
Both get workers to your site. The difference is everything around that: what the rate contains, what you can see, and what happens when something needs checking. Here it is side by side, with no names called.
Side by side, dimension by dimension
The industry standard below is not a strawman. It is how most supply arrangements in this market actually run today.
| Dimension | The industry standard | tamdeed |
|---|---|---|
| What the monthly rate contains | One bundled number. Coordinator layers, paperwork teams and margin are inside it, and the breakdown is not offered. | An itemised bill: salary, our fee and government charges as separate lines you can read, every month. |
| How the price is agreed | A quote on a call, a rate in a contract, and adjustments that appear over time. | A charge sheet composed for your engagement and shown in your portal before you pay. What you approve is what you pay. |
| Visibility of your workforce | A phone number. Attendance, documents and compliance live in the supplier's files, and you see what you are told. | A live portal: who is on site, their documents, their status and your invoices, on your screen at any time. |
| How attendance is recorded | Paper sheets or a supervisor's word, reconciled at month end, disputed after the fact. | Geofenced check-ins from the site itself. Payroll is calculated from the same data you can see. |
| Compliance | Asserted. You find out how true it was when an inspection, a fine or a dispute arrives. | Visible. Labour law calculations run in the engine, WPS records prove salaries, and each worker's document status is on screen. |
| The paperwork machine | Runners, typing centres and follow-up calls. Every step has a person chasing it, and the client pays for all of them. | Software runs the process and our team works the steps that need people. The overheads the rate carries are a fraction of the standard. |
| Hiring | CVs appear from somewhere. Sourcing, vetting and agency arrangements happen out of view. | A written scope of work, our ready workforce first, vetted agencies shown openly, and interviews you can join from a link. |
| Workers' side of the deal | Varies by supplier, invisible to the client, and sometimes carried by the workers themselves. | Workers never pay to be hired, are paid through WPS on time, and are insured from day one. You can verify each claim in the portal. |
Where the industry standard still fits
We would rather say this ourselves. The traditional model can be the pragmatic choice when:
- You need a handful of workers for days, not months, and visibility is not worth a platform to you
- Your procurement is built around a single bundled rate and cannot process itemised billing
- You want a supplier relationship run entirely on personal contact, with no portal in the picture
Questions this comparison raises
Is employment as a service more expensive than traditional supply?
The honest answer is: compare your current numbers against an itemised charge sheet and see. Our rate carries software instead of layers of coordinators, which is a structural cost advantage, but we do not print savings percentages we cannot defend for your specific case.
Can we switch from an existing supplier to tamdeed?
Yes. If the workers should stay, we can transfer their employment and visas to tamdeed sponsorship while they keep working. If you are rebuilding the team, we hire fresh against a written scope of work. Both paths run in the portal.
Why does the industry work the old way at all?
Because it worked well enough for decades, and because opacity is profitable. Layered coordination was genuinely needed before software could run these processes. It is not needed now, which is the entire reason tamdeed exists.
