What an electrician does on a UAE site, and how the trade is graded
An electrician on a UAE project installs the electrical services of a building or a plant: containment and conduit, cable pulling, wiring, lighting and power circuits, distribution board terminations, earthing and the testing before energisation, working to the MEP drawings and under the contractor's engineer. Industrial electricians work on panels, motors, drives and plant machinery; maintenance electricians on facilities contracts find and fix faults, service installations and keep buildings running.
Electricians are graded by qualification, experience and a practical test, not by title. A skilled electrician holds a trade qualification or diploma, has the years on comparable installations and passes a wiring and termination test to a standard; an assistant electrician works under a skilled electrician on containment, pulling and first fix; an electrical helper carries, cuts and prepares. Where a site or a client needs a specific certification or a permit to work, it is arranged with you before mobilisation.
tamdeed keeps electricians on the bench by specialism and grade, checks the certificates against the profile, tests each skilled electrician before they are confirmed to a client, and supplies the assistants, helpers and the supervisor that an installation team or a maintenance contract needs. Every electrician is employed on a MOHRE-registered contract, sponsored and insured by tamdeed, paid through WPS, and checked in at your site with geofenced attendance.
Other trades we supply
Every trade page describes the same employment and the same charge sheet; only the work changes.
Where electricians are deployed
MEP and building services contractors
Installation teams by floor or by package: containment, first fix, second fix, DB terminations and testing, with a supervisor who reads the drawings.
Facilities management contracts
Maintenance electricians and technicians on towers, malls, communities and campuses, rostered to the contract's response times and shifts.
Industrial plants and workshops
Industrial electricians for panels, motors, drives and plant machinery in the Sharjah, Ajman, KEZAD and Dubai Industrial City estates.
Fit-out and refurbishment
Second-fix electricians for hotels, offices, retail and residential refurbishments on short programmes with handover deadlines.
What is included with every worker
The same employment behind every trade. Nothing is bundled into the wage or left off the record.
Registered employment and sponsorship

WPS wages every month
Paid through the Wage Protection System from approved attendance, with overtime at the statutory premium and an itemised payslip in the worker app.
Certificates checked and a practical test
Trade qualifications and experience verified and stored against the profile; every skilled electrician passes a wiring and termination test before being confirmed to you. Site-specific certifications or permits to work are arranged with you before mobilisation.
Medical insurance and documents
Cover from day one; Emirates ID, labour card and medical fitness tracked with expiry alerts in your portal.
Safety induction and PPE
Site safety briefing before the first shift, PPE issued as agreed on the charge sheet, midday break and rest rules enforced by the platform.
Geofenced attendance
Check-in and check-out at your site from the worker app, so the hours you are billed are the hours worked.
Supervision and replacements
A named tamdeed contact, performance notes against each worker, and replacement from the bench when someone does not meet the standard.
One itemised invoice
Wage, government fees at cost, insurance, accruals, transport where agreed and administration on separate lines every month.

Skilled, assistant or helper: what an electrical team is made of
Most installation teams are all three, in a ratio the supervisor sets.
| Skilled electrician | Assistant electrician | Electrical helper | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Does | Wiring, terminations, testing to drawing | Containment, pulling and first fix under direction | Carries, cuts, prepares, clears |
| Checked by | Certificates and a wiring and termination test | Experience and a basic practical test | Experience and safety induction |
| Typical ratio | Sets the pace of the team | One to two per skilled electrician | One per two skilled electricians |
| Wage line | Highest | Between | Lowest |
How an electrician rate is built
An electrician's monthly rate is the wage for the specialism and grade plus the real costs of employing the worker, plus administration. Skilled electricians sit on one of the higher wage lines in site trades; assistants and helpers on lower ones; the rest of the rate is the same set of lines for every worker.
Maintenance contracts are usually monthly supply; installation programmes are priced by phase. Government fees change from time to time and are passed through at cost.
Illustrative structure, not a tariff. Live pricing applies to one to ten workers; larger crews receive a custom charge sheet built from the same lines, before you commit.

Questions, answered plainly
What is electrician manpower supply?
The supply of electricians employed and sponsored by a licensed supplier and deployed to a client's site or contract at an agreed rate, usually as a team with assistants and helpers. tamdeed checks certificates, tests every skilled electrician, employs them on registered contracts, pays through WPS and bills from a geofenced attendance record.
Are your electricians qualified?
Skilled electricians hold a trade qualification or diploma, have the years on comparable installations and pass a wiring and termination test before they are confirmed to you. Certificates are stored against the profile in your portal. Where your site or client requires a specific certification or permit to work, it is arranged with you before mobilisation.
Do you supply maintenance electricians for facilities contracts?
Yes. Maintenance electricians and technicians are supplied to facilities companies and building owners on monthly supply, rostered to the contract's shifts and response times, with attendance geofenced at the asset.
Do you supply industrial electricians?
Yes, for panels, motors, drives and plant machinery in factories and workshops, on the shifts the plant runs.
Can you supply a whole installation team?
Yes: skilled electricians, assistant electricians, helpers and a supervisor, sized to the package or the floor cycle, each grade on its own wage line.
Who is the legal employer?
tamdeed. Electricians are employed on MOHRE-registered contracts, sponsored on residence visas and paid through WPS by tamdeed. They report to your site for the work.
How fast can electricians mobilise?
Electricians already on the bench and in the UAE can be on site within days of an approved charge sheet. Specialisms that need recruiting, or electricians coming from abroad on new visas, take longer because the visa process sets the pace.
What does an electrician cost per month in the UAE?
It depends on the specialism, the grade, the site, the contract length and the headcount. tamdeed itemises the wage, government fees at cost, insurance, gratuity and leave accrual, PPE, tools and transport where agreed, and its own administration line.
