What it is

An employer of record, explained

An EOR legally employs your staff in the UAE on your behalf, so you can hire here without setting up an entity, opening a bank account, or running a PRO desk.

We're the employer on paper

tamdeed holds the MOHRE-registered contract and sponsors the residence visa. Legally, your hire works for us.

You're the employer in practice

Day-to-day direction, targets and management are entirely yours. We never touch the work itself.

One invoice covers it all

Salary, our fee, and government costs at actual, itemised in dirhams and paid through WPS every month.

Questions

Good to know

Is an EOR legal in the UAE?

Yes. Your staff are employed by tamdeed in-house, with MOHRE-registered contracts, sponsored residence visas, and salaries paid through the Wage Protection System. This is the same legal employment any UAE company provides.

Who controls the employee's work?

You do. tamdeed is the legal employer; the day-to-day direction, targets and management are entirely yours.

What's the difference between an EOR and a PEO?

A PEO co-employs alongside your existing local entity. An EOR requires no entity at all, and tamdeed is the sole legal employer. If you don't have a UAE company, an EOR is what you need. If you do have one and want the employment administration handled, tamdeed offers that too: see our PEO in the UAE page.

Can you also find the employee for us?

Yes. Alongside employing candidates you've already chosen, we recruit for EOR roles under a separate, agreed fee, with candidates reviewed securely inside your portal.

What happens if we part ways with the employee?

We manage the exit end to end: notice, final settlement including gratuity, visa cancellation and documentation, all compliant with UAE labour law.

How much does an employer of record cost in the UAE?

tamdeed's published EOR fee is AED 1,750 per employee, per month, for the platform and management. Government charges (visa, medical, labour card) and the employee's own salary are passed through at cost and itemised separately, with no setup fee and no minimum term on the platform fee.

Does the EOR sponsor the employee's visa?

Yes. tamdeed sponsors the residence visa and work permit on its own licence and handles the medical, Emirates ID and renewals, so the employee can live and work in the UAE without your company holding a UAE licence.

How long does it take to hire through an EOR?

An itemised, all-in monthly cost comes back within 24 hours, and one agreement puts your account live the same week. The visa then follows government processing times, tracked milestone by milestone in your portal. Someone already in the UAE can usually move by visa transfer without leaving the country.

Do we need a UAE trade licence to use an EOR?

No. tamdeed is the licensed employer, so you can employ in the UAE before, or instead of, setting up your own company. If you already hold a UAE licence and want the administration handled, the PEO service is the closer fit.

Can we use an EOR for a single hire?

Yes. The EOR works for one employee or a small team, which is why companies use it to enter the UAE market or to test a role before committing to an entity.

Can we move the employee to our own entity later?

Yes. If you later set up a UAE company, the employee can move to your sponsorship through a visa transfer. tamdeed closes its employment with a final settlement, including gratuity for the time they were employed by us, on the notice terms in the agreement.

The right people, ready when you are.

Tell us who you're hiring. We'll come back with an itemised, all-in monthly cost within 24 hours.
