What a scaffolder does on a UAE site, and why the certificate matters
A scaffolder erects, alters and dismantles the temporary access that every other trade stands on: tube and fitting and system scaffolds for towers and facades, birdcages and access towers for plant rooms and pipe racks, and the scaffolds a shutdown needs around vessels and tanks, working to the scaffold design and the site's permit system, with the site's competent person inspecting and tagging before use. Scaffolding helpers pass materials, sort and stack components and work under the scaffolder's direction.
Scaffolding is a certified trade in the UAE. Sites, main contractors and industrial clients require scaffolders to hold current third-party training certificates at the level the work needs, and supervisors to hold the supervisory or inspection level. A crew without the right certificates is stopped at the gate, or worse, allowed to work. Certificate checking is therefore the first thing a supplier does, not an afterthought.
tamdeed keeps scaffolders on the bench by certificate level, verifies each certificate and its expiry before a worker is confirmed to a client, stores it against the profile in your portal, and supplies the helpers and the supervisor with the crew. Every scaffolder is employed on a MOHRE-registered contract, sponsored and insured by tamdeed, paid through WPS, issued PPE including fall protection, and checked in at your site with geofenced attendance. Inspection and tagging of the erected scaffold remain your site's competent person's responsibility.
Other trades we supply
Every trade page describes the same employment and the same charge sheet; only the work changes.
Where scaffolders are deployed
Towers, facades and structure
Scaffolding crews for external facades, cores and structure, moving with the floor cycle and the finishing programme.
Plants, shutdowns and turnarounds
Access scaffolds around vessels, columns, tanks and pipe racks for maintenance and shutdown windows, billed on hours, with site pass and permit paperwork prepared.
MEP and facilities
Access towers and birdcages for plant rooms, ceilings and atria, and facade access for cleaning and maintenance contracts.
Events and infrastructure
Temporary structures, staging support and access for infrastructure works, on short programmes.
What is included with every worker
The same employment behind every trade. Nothing is bundled into the wage or left off the record.
Registered employment and sponsorship
Employed by tamdeed on a MOHRE-registered contract and sponsored on a residence visa by tamdeed. Your site carries no employment liability.
WPS wages every month
Paid through the Wage Protection System from approved attendance, with overtime at the statutory premium and an itemised payslip in the worker app.
Certificates verified and stored
Every scaffolder's third-party training certificate and its expiry is checked before mobilisation and stored against the profile in your portal, with alerts before renewal. Fall protection issued with the PPE. Inspection and tagging stay with your site's competent person.
Medical insurance and documents
Cover from day one; Emirates ID, labour card and medical fitness tracked with expiry alerts in your portal.
Safety induction and PPE
Site safety briefing before the first shift, PPE issued as agreed on the charge sheet, midday break and rest rules enforced by the platform.
Geofenced attendance
Check-in and check-out at your site from the worker app, so the hours you are billed are the hours worked.
Supervision and replacements
A named tamdeed contact, performance notes against each worker, and replacement from the bench when someone does not meet the standard.
One itemised invoice
Wage, government fees at cost, insurance, accruals, transport where agreed and administration on separate lines every month.
From brief to first shift
Workers already on the bench mobilise in days; roles that need recruiting or a new visa take longer, and we say which at the brief.
- 1
Brief
Headcount, grade mix, site, start date, duration and shift pattern, plus any site pass or client induction the job requires.
- 2
Match and verify
Bench scaffolders by certificate level first, recruitment where needed. Certificates and expiries verified, documents checked, helpers and a supervisor matched to the crew, the mix confirmed to you.
- 3
Charge sheet
Every monthly line, or the hourly rate for short cover, approved in your portal before anyone moves. Government fees at cost.
- 4
Mobilise and track
Induction, transport where agreed, geofenced check-in from the first shift, payroll and invoices running on the platform.

Scaffolder, helper or supervisor: what a scaffolding crew is made of
The certificate level sets who may erect, who may assist and who signs off the crew's work.
| Certified scaffolder | Scaffolding helper | Scaffold supervisor | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Does | Erects, alters and dismantles to the design | Passes and sorts components under direction | Runs the crew, method, safety and handover for inspection |
| Holds | Current third-party scaffolder certificate | Safety induction, harness training | Supervisory or inspection level certificate |
| Typical ratio | Sets the pace of the crew | One to two per scaffolder | One per crew |
| Wage line | By certificate level | Lowest | Highest |
How a scaffolder rate is built
A scaffolder's monthly rate is the wage for the certificate level plus the real costs of employing the worker, plus administration. Certified scaffolders sit on a higher wage line than helpers, and supervisors higher still; the rest of the rate is the same set of lines for every worker. Where a site requires a certificate the worker does not yet hold, the training is agreed with you and shown on its own line.
Shutdown crews are billed on hours from the attendance record; long programmes on a monthly charge sheet. Government fees change from time to time and are passed through at cost.
Illustrative structure, not a tariff. Live pricing applies to one to ten workers; larger crews receive a custom charge sheet built from the same lines, before you commit.

Questions, answered plainly
What is scaffolder manpower supply?
The supply of certified scaffolders, scaffolding helpers and supervisors employed and sponsored by a licensed supplier and deployed to a client's site as a crew at an agreed rate. tamdeed verifies every certificate, employs the crew on registered contracts, pays through WPS and bills from a geofenced attendance record.
Are your scaffolders certified?
Scaffolders are supplied with current third-party training certificates at the level the work needs, verified before mobilisation and stored against the profile in your portal with expiry alerts. Where your site requires a level a worker does not yet hold, the training is agreed with you and shown on its own line.
Who inspects and tags the scaffold?
Your site's competent person, as the site's permit system sets out. tamdeed supplies the crew that erects, alters and dismantles to the design and hands over for inspection; supervisors at the supervisory level are supplied where the crew needs one.
Do you supply scaffolding crews for shutdowns?
Yes. Shutdown access crews are supplied as short-term crews billed on hours from the attendance record, with site pass and permit paperwork prepared before mobilisation.
Do you supply the scaffolding materials?
No. tamdeed supplies the people; the scaffold materials, the design and the inspection regime are the client's or the scaffolding contractor's. The crew works with what is on site.
Who is the legal employer?
tamdeed. Scaffolders are employed on MOHRE-registered contracts, sponsored on residence visas and paid through WPS by tamdeed. They report to your site for the work.
How fast can a scaffolding crew mobilise?
Certified scaffolders already on the bench and in the UAE can be on site within days of an approved charge sheet, subject to site pass and induction. Crews that need recruiting take longer because the visa process sets the pace.
What does a scaffolder cost per month in the UAE?
It depends on the certificate level, the site, the contract length and the headcount. tamdeed itemises the wage, government fees at cost, insurance, gratuity and leave accrual, PPE including fall protection, transport where agreed, and its own administration line.
