What a pipe fitter does, and why it is not a plumber
A pipe fitter installs process, utility and service piping in steel: reading isometrics and spool drawings, measuring and marking, cutting and bevelling, fitting up flanges, elbows, tees and spools to alignment and gap for the welder, bolting flanged joints to sequence and torque, supporting the line on its hangers and racks, and preparing it for hydrotest. On UAE sites that means oil and gas and petrochemical plants, power and water plants, district cooling and chilled-water networks, fire-fighting mains, tank farms and the pipe racks of factories.
The grade is set by what a fitter can do from the drawing without a foreman standing over him. A skilled pipe fitter takes an isometric and produces a fitted-up spool to tolerance; a semi-skilled fitter fits up under direction and bolts and supports; a pipe fitter's helper cuts, carries, grinds and holds. Fabrication shop fitters and site erection fitters are the same trade in two settings and are graded the same way.
tamdeed keeps pipe fitters on the bench by grade and setting, tests each skilled fitter on an isometric and a fit-up before they are confirmed to a client, and supplies the helpers, the fabricators and the foreman with the crew. Every fitter is employed on a MOHRE-registered contract, sponsored and insured by tamdeed, paid through WPS, issued PPE, and checked in at your site with geofenced attendance. Site pass and induction requirements are prepared with you before mobilisation; approvals a client's site requires are confirmed at the brief, not assumed.
Other trades we supply
Every trade page describes the same employment and the same charge sheet; only the work changes.
Where pipe fitters are deployed
Oil and gas, petrochemical and utilities
Erection and shutdown crews for plants, tank farms and pipe racks in Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and the industrial estates, on long programmes and turnarounds.
District cooling and MEP
Chilled-water mains, plant rooms and fire-fighting piping for towers, communities and campuses, working with the HVAC and plumbing teams.
Fabrication shops
Shop fitters and fabricators producing spools and skids in the Sharjah, Ajman, KEZAD and Dubai Industrial City workshops, on shifts.
Water, power and infrastructure
Piping crews for pumping stations, treatment plants and power and desalination projects across the emirates.
What is included with every worker
The same employment behind every trade. Nothing is bundled into the wage or left off the record.
Registered employment and sponsorship
Employed by tamdeed on a MOHRE-registered contract and sponsored on a residence visa by tamdeed. Your site carries no employment liability.
WPS wages every month
Paid through the Wage Protection System from approved attendance, with overtime at the statutory premium and an itemised payslip in the worker app.
Practical trade test on an isometric
Every skilled pipe fitter reads an isometric and fits up a test spool to alignment and gap before being confirmed to you. Certificates and experience are stored against the profile; site passes and client approvals are confirmed at the brief.
Medical insurance and documents
Cover from day one; Emirates ID, labour card and medical fitness tracked with expiry alerts in your portal.
Safety induction and PPE
Site safety briefing before the first shift, PPE issued as agreed on the charge sheet, midday break and rest rules enforced by the platform.
Geofenced attendance
Check-in and check-out at your site from the worker app, so the hours you are billed are the hours worked.
Supervision and replacements
A named tamdeed contact, performance notes against each worker, and replacement from the bench when someone does not meet the standard.
One itemised invoice
Wage, government fees at cost, insurance, accruals, transport where agreed and administration on separate lines every month.
From brief to first shift
Workers already on the bench mobilise in days; roles that need recruiting or a new visa take longer, and we say which at the brief.

Skilled, semi-skilled or helper: what a piping crew is made of
The mix sets whether the spool fits first time.

How a pipe fitter rate is built
A pipe fitter's monthly rate is the wage for the grade plus the real costs of employing the worker, plus administration. Skilled fitters who work from the isometric sit on one of the higher wage lines in site trades; helpers on the lowest; the rest of the rate is the same set of lines for every worker.
Shutdown and turnaround crews are billed on hours from the attendance record; erection programmes are priced by phase. Government fees change from time to time and are passed through at cost.
Illustrative structure, not a tariff. Live pricing applies to one to ten workers; larger crews receive a custom charge sheet built from the same lines, before you commit.

Questions, answered plainly
What is pipe fitter manpower supply?
The supply of pipe fitters employed and sponsored by a licensed supplier and deployed to a client's plant, site or fabrication shop as a piping crew at an agreed rate. tamdeed tests every skilled fitter on an isometric, employs them on registered contracts, pays through WPS and bills from a geofenced attendance record.
Can your pipe fitters read isometrics?
Skilled fitters can, and are tested on one: they read an isometric and fit up a spool to alignment and gap before they are confirmed to you. Semi-skilled fitters work under a skilled fitter or the foreman's direction.
Do you supply pipe fitters for shutdowns and turnarounds?
Yes. Shutdown crews of fitters, helpers, riggers' helpers and scaffolders are supplied as short-term crews billed on hours from the attendance record, with site pass and induction requirements prepared before mobilisation. Approvals a client's site requires are confirmed at the brief.
Do you supply welders with the fitters?
Welders and fabricators are supplied on request alongside the fitting crew, with certificates held on the profile; qualification to a specific welding procedure is arranged with you where the site requires it.
Do you supply pipe fitters in Abu Dhabi, Fujairah and the industrial estates?
Yes, in every emirate. Plants and terminals in Abu Dhabi and Fujairah, and the fabrication shops in Sharjah, Ajman, KEZAD and Dubai Industrial City, are supplied from the same bench with transport as its own line.
Who is the legal employer?
tamdeed. Pipe fitters are employed on MOHRE-registered contracts, sponsored on residence visas and paid through WPS by tamdeed. They report to your site for the work.
How fast can a piping crew mobilise?
Fitters already on the bench and in the UAE can be on site within days of an approved charge sheet, subject to any site pass or client approval. Crews that need recruiting, or fitters coming from abroad on new visas, take longer because the visa process sets the pace.
What does a pipe fitter cost per month in the UAE?
It depends on the grade, the setting, the site, the contract length and the headcount. tamdeed itemises the wage, government fees at cost, insurance, gratuity and leave accrual, PPE, tools and transport where agreed, and its own administration line.
