What driver supply means in the UAE, and what is checked
Driver manpower supply is the provision of drivers, employed and sponsored by a licensed supplier, to operate a client's vehicles under the client's direction: company cars and executive vehicles, vans and pickups for deliveries and service calls, heavy trucks for haulage and site work, and buses for staff and school transport. The vehicles, fuel and vehicle insurance remain the client's; the driver's employment, visa, WPS wages, medical insurance and end-of-service are the supplier's.
Two things separate a driver you can put in a vehicle from one you cannot: a valid UAE driving licence in the category the vehicle needs, and a record. A light vehicle licence does not cover a heavy truck or a bus, and a licence from abroad does not cover a UAE vehicle until it has been converted where the rules allow. The record is the traffic file, the accident history and the references, and it is checked before the offer, not after the first incident.
tamdeed keeps drivers on the bench by licence category, verifies the licence, its category and its expiry and stores it against the profile, checks the record, and briefs each driver on your vehicle, route and standards before the first shift. Every driver is employed on a MOHRE-registered contract, sponsored and insured by tamdeed, paid through WPS, and checked in with geofenced attendance at your depot or office. Delivery riders on motorcycles are covered on the delivery sector page.
Other trades we supply
Every trade page describes the same employment and the same charge sheet; only the work changes.
Where drivers are deployed
Logistics, distribution and e-commerce
Van, pickup and truck drivers for last-mile and line-haul fleets, rostered to the depot's shifts and scaling with volume.
Facilities, services and trades
Drivers for service vans, mobile maintenance teams and pool vehicles on facilities and services contracts.
Corporate and executive fleets
Company car drivers for offices and executives, briefed on standards, presentation and confidentiality.
Staff transport and site fleets
Bus drivers for staff transport, and heavy vehicle drivers for site haulage, water tankers and plant movement on projects.
What is included with every worker
The same employment behind every trade. Nothing is bundled into the wage or left off the record.
Registered employment and sponsorship
Employed by tamdeed on a MOHRE-registered contract and sponsored on a residence visa by tamdeed. Your site carries no employment liability.
WPS wages every month
Paid through the Wage Protection System from approved attendance, with overtime at the statutory premium and an itemised payslip in the worker app.
Licence, category and record verified
The UAE driving licence, its category and its expiry are verified and stored against the profile with renewal alerts; the traffic record and references are checked; each driver is briefed on your vehicle, route and standards before the first shift.
Medical insurance and documents
Cover from day one; Emirates ID, labour card and medical fitness tracked with expiry alerts in your portal.
Safety induction and PPE
Site safety briefing before the first shift, PPE issued as agreed on the charge sheet, midday break and rest rules enforced by the platform.
Geofenced attendance
Check-in and check-out at your site from the worker app, so the hours you are billed are the hours worked.
Supervision and replacements
A named tamdeed contact, performance notes against each worker, and replacement from the bench when someone does not meet the standard.
One itemised invoice
Wage, government fees at cost, insurance, accruals, transport where agreed and administration on separate lines every month.
From brief to first shift
Workers already on the bench mobilise in days; roles that need recruiting or a new visa take longer, and we say which at the brief.

How a driver rate is built
A driver's monthly rate is the wage for the licence category plus the real costs of employing the worker, plus administration. Heavy vehicle and bus drivers sit on higher wage lines than light vehicle drivers; the rest of the rate is the same set of lines for every worker. The vehicle, fuel, tolls and vehicle insurance are yours and are not in the rate.
Drivers are usually monthly supply; event and peak cover is billed on hours from the attendance record. Government fees change from time to time and are passed through at cost.
Illustrative structure, not a tariff. Live pricing applies to one to ten workers; larger crews receive a custom charge sheet built from the same lines, before you commit.
Licence expiries you see before the traffic police do
Every driver's licence category and expiry, Emirates ID and visa status sit against the profile with alerts, and attendance is checked in at your depot. The fleet manager's questions, answered from one screen.

Questions, answered plainly
What is driver manpower supply?
The provision of drivers employed and sponsored by a licensed supplier to operate a client's vehicles under the client's direction at an agreed monthly rate. tamdeed verifies the UAE licence, its category and the driver's record, employs the driver on a registered contract, pays through WPS and bills from a geofenced attendance record.
Do your drivers hold UAE driving licences?
Yes. Every supplied driver holds a valid UAE driving licence in the category the vehicle needs; the licence, its category and its expiry are verified before the offer and stored against the profile with renewal alerts. A licence from abroad is not accepted for a UAE vehicle until it has been converted where the rules allow.
Do you supply heavy truck and bus drivers?
Yes. Heavy truck, trailer, tipper and tanker drivers, and staff, shuttle and school bus drivers where the client holds the relevant approvals, are supplied with the licence category the vehicle needs.
Do you provide the vehicles?
No. tamdeed supplies the drivers; the vehicles, fuel, tolls and vehicle insurance remain the client's. Where staff transport for supplied workers is part of an engagement, it appears as its own line on that engagement's charge sheet.
What happens if a driver has an accident or traffic offence?
The incident is recorded against the driver's profile, the driver is stood down while it is reviewed with you, and a replacement is provided from the bench where needed. Fines and liabilities follow the vehicle's insurance and the engagement terms agreed on the charge sheet.
Who is the legal employer?
tamdeed. Drivers are employed on MOHRE-registered contracts, sponsored on residence visas and paid through WPS by tamdeed. They report to your depot or office for the work.
How fast can drivers start?
Drivers already on the bench and in the UAE with the right licence category can start within days of an approved charge sheet and a briefing on your fleet. Drivers who need recruiting or licence conversion take longer, and we say so at the brief.
What does a supplied driver cost per month in the UAE?
It depends on the licence category, the roster, the contract length and the headcount. tamdeed itemises the wage, government fees at cost, insurance, gratuity and leave accrual and its own administration line; the vehicle and its running costs are not in the rate.
